The New Normal

The New Normal

I am excited (cautiously) that all the things that President Trump was elected to change and “fix” are actually changing and getting fixed. It is extraordinary.

And the fact that Democrats and RINOs are crying foul when all this corruption is being uncovered at USAID, for example, really bothers me. It is not a good look for them.

Complaining about Elon Musk accessing our social security numbers is silly and uninformed. The fact that anything his team sees is “read-only” does not seem to register. Don’t people realize how many entities and companies have access to this same information? I guess they do not.

Years ago, a computer-savvy friend who worked at a credit card company told me, “If people knew how much information credit cards have on them, they would freak out!”  That was in the late 1990s. Thirty-five years ago, and in the intervening 30 years, we have given our DNA to “23 and me.” We have allowed chips to be inserted in all of our pets and some of our children. Allowed MRNA vaccines into our bodies that change our DNA, and every time we cash a social security check or get some medical treatment, our information is again and again fed through anonymous channels all over the cloud and perhaps out again to who knows where.

Our phones and Alexa, for those who use that technology, are listening to our every word. Do you ever say personal things? Do you ever speak your social security number or credit card number out loud?

Anyway, I guess some people are outraged by the Executive Orders. I agree that this is not an ideal way to run a government, but things have gone so far wrong that they simply need to change fast. Besides, Biden used executive orders to change things that President Trump had done in his first term. The problem is that no one knows who has been running the government for the last four years. It certainly was NOT really Biden. We know this for sure now, since his staff and others have admitted it.??

Now, there is NO DOUBT; Donald J. Trump is at the helm. And he is busy. And so is his VP J.D. Vance. What an asset he has turned out to be.

Drilling for oil for instance, is the first order of business.

Getting out of these awful ‘New World Order’ type organizations such as the WHO, which wants to control what we do here, is also vital. We need to remain a sovereign nation. Such a normal idea does not seem radical to me.

Someone told me that the order forbidding plastic straws has been rescinded. I have not checked this out to see if it is true. In a world where absolutely everything is made of plastic, doing away with straws was just ridiculous. Perhaps there are other incentives to make people stop using and purchasing so much synthetic “stuff.” Forbidding plastic straws was not a great beginning.

Doing away with DEI is wonderful. The laws to protect people are already in place. DEI is so divisive because it puts race, religion, and sexual orientation front and center so that people are not allowed to ignore each other’s differences. VERY BAD for relationships of every type.??

Today, I heard that Budweiser Beer is changing the name of its beer from “domestic” to “American.” It’s such a simple idea and so true. But how have times changed to allow this to happen???Of course, the changes that have happened in less than a month are too numerous to mention.

So far, I have liked each of them. God Bless America.

  1. This column is a breath of fresh air. I am loving how fast Trump is moving and democrats are just playing very noisy catch up! I am thrilled with Musk’s young team. Not one woke person seems to realize that this country was founded by very young men. I believe Jefferson was one of the older ones in his early 30s. And boys in their teens fought in the militia!
