5 Reasons to Ditch the Mask.
Number ONE reason is this:
The mask has lost it’s original purpose. It is a mark of fear and a signal that the wearer will conform even when the thing conformed to is uncomfortable and unnecessary. It has become a method of separating one group from another. Social distancing has been enhanced by distancing from those who will and those who won’t wear one.
Number TWO reason is this:
A mask will not protect you from fear. That is something you internalize due to your belief in what you see on TV or read or hear from authorities. And it can be encouraged by propaganda. We are getting huge doses of that daily. The amount of misinformation and innuendo is staggering. People don’t seem to question anything they see or hear. Dr. Fauci has become the most important and powerful bureaucrat in the country. And he is often confused and wrong.
“It is the social science enlightening event of the new century to learn that the great pandemic contagion is fear, not a virus.” ~ Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith
Number THREE reason is this:
It is an outrageous side effect that frightened people have been able to take away basic freedom from those who are not frightened. It depends on how one looks at the virus. For those who feel it is a monster just waiting to pounce on them and kill them, the fear is terrible. But for those who feel it is a highly treatable disease that they are not likely to catch in the first place, it is a minor inconvenience. Especially for young and healthy adults or children, the virus does not pose much of a threat. So we who are not afraid should be free to go about our lives unmasked and unimpeded by the disapproval of the terrified.
There is a wonderful article by Jeff Minick for Intellectual Takeout which explains his view and echos my own about the ridiculous rules, the wrong-headed attitudes that have apparently taken over a large section of the populace. We must wake up from this nightmare. We must speak up for ourselves and our families’ freedom from tyranny and control by bureaucrats who are not even mildly concerned with the effects of their WRONG assessments.
“Your aversion to risk is of no relevance to my freedom.” ~ Michael Malice
Number FOUR reason is this:
Over half the population has been vaccinated and many have had the virus and recovered. Others never will contract it and seem to be immune. Yet you are still afraid. Mask wearing is not going to protect you from these non-lethal subjects. The conditioning has been highly successful. The constant barrage of fearful messaging and daily death count has become ingrained in the susceptible and the gullible among us. They bit hook, line, and sinker.
The virus is real but it is not the threat to the world that we have been led to believe. They made it up to scare us. All the fear and foreboding is for naught. Most people don’t get very sick from the virus. Of those who do, most recover. Of those who do not recover most have underlying conditions which lead to ill health or death.
Nazi Hermann Goering while he testified before the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg in 1946 gave an example of how to control the populace. Paraphrasing his remarks it boils down to this: It was very easy, it has nothing to do with being a Nazi, it has to do with human nature. The only thing that needs to be done to enslave people is to get them into a state of FEAR. Make them feel they are under attack. If you manage to find a way to SCARE people, you can make them do whatever you want.
Number FIVE reason is this:
You are not powerless. You are in control of YOU. There are so many avenues toward perfect health. You can google the information but you might have to look hard past all the propaganda and wrong information. Of course, the mainstream media calls it WRONG information when people tout the benefits of Hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, and Vitamin D plus Zinc therapy. Yet there are plenty of studies that say these are effective if used in the early stages of the disease. You can find statistics and examples of whichever side you are on. Of course, it is important to be aware of confirmation bias. We are all human and prefer to be right. So if we read something that confirms what we already believe, then we feel justified and wise. This is a problem for all of us because it is just human nature. And yet, after extensive research, I feel confident of my stance against mask-wearing. This information is as true as it can be according to what I have uncovered. That is what people who really want to know the truth will do. Research, review, evaluate the facts, and make a decision for themselves.
Those who hold a different view are also entitled to their opinion. They are free to continue wearing a mask if it seems appropriate to them. It is OK to disagree. It is just fine to cite the reasons for feeling one way or the other. It is not “hate speech” to express differing beliefs.
John B. Oakes, who drove the creation of Op-Eds years ago expressed it this way:
